How to Reach Us
Every message is read and answered by the developer — there is no ticket queue and no automated first line.
- App questions, bugs and feature requests: support@odysseyjournal.app
- Privacy, data access and deletion requests: privacy@odysseyjournal.app
- Press, partnerships and anything else: hello@odysseyjournal.app
You may write in any of the twelve languages this site is published in. If your language is not among them, write in it anyway — we would rather translate your message than have you struggle in a second language.
What to Include
A short message is fine. These details turn a two-day exchange into a single reply:
| Detail | Why it helps |
|---|---|
| Your device and operating system version | Most display and camera issues are specific to one platform |
The app version, from Settings > About | Tells us whether the fix is already released |
| The email address on your account | Lets us look at the right account, with your permission |
| What you expected, and what happened instead | The single most useful sentence you can write |
| A screenshot or screen recording | Worth a hundred words for a layout or map problem |
Please do not send your password. We will never ask for it, and we cannot read it — passwords are stored only as a salted hash.
Response Times
We aim to reply to every message within two business days, and to acknowledge privacy and deletion requests within the same week. Requests made under data-protection law are answered within the statutory deadline in every case — see sections 9 to 11 of the Privacy Policy for the exact rights and time limits.
If a week passes with no answer, assume the message went astray and write again to hello@odysseyjournal.app.
Before You Write
A few answers that come up often:
- Your entries are stored on your device first. If the app is offline, nothing is lost; entries upload when a connection returns.
- Photos stay at full resolution. Compression happens only for the preview thumbnail.
- Changing your device does not lose your journal, as long as you sign in with the same account.
- The app needs location permission only while you are adding a waypoint. You can decline it and still write entries.
Reporting Content or a Privacy Concern
Odyssey Journal lets travelers publish posts and photographs. If you find content that shows you without your consent, infringes your copyright, or breaks the rules set out in the Terms of Service:
Section 6 of the Privacy Policy explains what you may and may not publish about other people, and section 5 of the Terms of Service covers what follows if content you posted causes a claim.
Your Account and Your Data
Requests to access, correct, export or erase your personal data go to privacy@odysseyjournal.app. You do not need to explain why.
- Deleting your account: see the separate page at odysseyjournal.app/delete-account
- Getting a copy of your data: sections 9 and 10 of the Privacy Policy
- Withdrawing consent for international transfer: section 7 of the Privacy Policy
